I love living independently at the Renaissance. I like the gracious living in a park-like setting, with spacious, well lighted apartments and villas. The modern controls for heating and cooling keep me comfortable and I can have as much privacy as I want. In this beautiful setting, there are many opportunities to promote good health. The food is consistently delicious with many healthful choices. Daily exercise classes keep me moving, and the wide choice of social activities appeal to many different tastes. If needed, the clinic is almost always available, and we can get full care in the health center.
We chose Devon Oaks after a lot of research because we saw a level of care for residents that gave us the confidence that mom would have a home, not just a place to live. Everybody at D.O. cares about mom and all the residents. It is so comforting to know that no matter the day or time, there are people surrounding mom who are focused on her. We are so happy that we found you guys and I want you to know that my words above speak for my entire family. Thanks.
I chose independent living because I no longer wanted total responsibility for the upkeep of a large house and yard but fully intended to maintain my independence, especially in driving my own car. I looked at several retirement communities and preferred the Renaissance because I had friends here and knew of the excellent services provided by the staff and administration. Having access to the full continuum of care enhances my independence and augments my retirement with stress-free everyday living. I enjoy the library, all-weather exercise, and frequent cultural offerings on campus and off. The food program — delicious meals with friends, healthy alternatives delivered to my apartment, a daily choice of entrees — is beyond compare. The Renaissance staff offers kind, hospitable welcome to all. They seem to hold a personal interest in each of us and willingly go the extra mile to make us comfortable.
