Eliza Jennings Welcomes Cheryl H. O’Malley, DNP, MSN, NEA-BC, to Board of Trustees

(Cleveland, Ohio) – Eliza Jennings is pleased to announce the appointment of Chery H. O’Malley, DNP, MSN, BSN, BA, NEA-BC (nurse Executive Advanced, board-certified from the ANCC American Nurse Credentialing Center), to the organization’s Board of Trustees. O’Malley was officially installed at the Eliza Jennings Board Meeting on September 4 and will serve a three-year term.

Cheryl’s depth of knowledge of the healthcare industry and the older adult population will be a valuable asset to our organization,” said President and CEO Richard M. Boyson. “Cheryl’s profound commitment to quality health care and her understanding of population health management will help us to improve and enhance the health, well-being, and quality of life of the older adults we serve.”

O’Malley is the chief transformation officer/vice president of population health at Southwest General Hospital and has more than 34 years of nursing experience. Her expertise includes population health strategy, post-acute care and chronic care management, and population health information telehealth/technology systems.

O’Malley served in vice president and chief nursing officer roles at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Centers. She previously served as vice president of Patient Care Services and chief nursing officer at St. John Medical Center. She has also served in nursing leadership roles with the Cleveland Clinic and Lake Health systems.

O’Malley holds a doctorate in nursing degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing and is active in numerous professional and community organizations.
