Eliza Jennings at Home Awarded Re-Accreditation from The Joint Commission

(Olmsted Township, Ohio) – Eliza Jennings, a nationally recognized not-for-profit leader in aging services, has once again earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval^® for Home Care Accreditation. Eliza Jennings at Home earned this distinction by demonstrating continuous compliance with Joint Commission performance standards. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization’s commitment to providing safe, excellent, and quality patient care.

To earn re-accreditation, Eliza Jennings underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review. During the visit, a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluated compliance with home health standards spanning several areas including environment of patient care, infection prevention and control, emergency management, and rights and responsibilities of the individual. Additionally, the Joint Commission carefully reviewed agency policies and procedures to prevent and reduce the spread of COVID-19 among staff and clients in the community.

Eliza Jennings at Home works to meet all regulatory and accreditation requirements at all times, and as part of the preparation for the accreditation review process focuses additional attention on policy & procedure review, education for staff, and auditing and monitoring all quality improvement activities.

The Joint Commission’s standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts, and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help health care organizations measure, assess, and improve performance.
