(Cleveland, Ohio) – Eliza Jennings, a nationally recognized expert in aging services,
announced that the Health Center at the Renaissance Retirement Campus, located in
Olmsted Township, received a deficiency-free rating during its recent annual survey by
the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). The survey evaluates skilled nursing and
rehabilitative services to determine how well the nursing home provides care to its
residents by meeting state regulatory standards. A deficiency-free rating signifies full
compliance with all standards of care and services required by long-term care
providers.
“This achievement is the result of the staff’s commitment, diligence, and outstanding
teamwork,” said Eliza Jennings President and CEO Richard M. Boyson Jr. “These
exceptional survey results underscore Eliza Jennings’ reputation for providing residentcentered
choices for superior care.”
The survey process focuses on how the needs of the residents are met, encompassing
not only their medical and nursing needs, but also their social, psychological, spiritual,
and physical needs as well. A team of ODH surveyors observes and examines clinical
and operational systems as well as medical records and required documentation.
Surveyors interview residents and their families, and evaluate staffing levels, resident
care, clinical services, employee training and observance of resident rights and resident
choice. Food service operations, thoroughness of housekeeping, maintenance and
laundry services, and compliance with resident and facility safety policies and practices
are also inspected and evaluated.
The Health Center at the Renaissance Retirement Campus offers a full range of
comprehensive services including 24-hour skilled nursing care with private
accommodations, Alzheimer’s and memory care including SAIDO Learning® cognitive
therapy for dementia, short-term rehabilitation services, and specialized wound and
post-surgical care. To learn more or to tour the Health Center, please call
